TLAYACAPAN 26
MORELOS
Image #1137
Tlayacapan has always been a religious center and when the Augustinians arrived in 1554 they found scattered throughout the area small neighborhood shrines on which they imposed their own religion resulting in small chapels all over the village. These are mainly 17th and 18th century constructions as seen in the Chapel of the Exaltation (Capilla de la Exaltación).
